Marouschka Brian (1999), also known as MOES, questions and disrupts the rules of our current system. For her, the urgency is clear: the world is fucked, and things need to change. She works like a modern hunter-gatherer, collecting objects from public spaces and alienating them from their original meaning. She transforms these (in) visible objects — striking yet ignored — into interventions that disrupt everyday life. With these absurd interventions, MOES attempts to deconstruct standardized systems and challenge our conditioned perceptions. In this way, she opens up space for awareness and new associations, whereby the familiar suddenly becomes strange and the everyday is redefined.
