Geluidskunstenaar Bart Bruinsma en beeldend kunstenaar Tirza Mafi vonden elkaar in hun koortsachtige voorstellingen en gedeelde fascinatie voor de lichamelijke ervaring. Transgressions is een expositie waar de kunstenaars de grenzen tussen hun respectieve werelden/disciplines opbreken. Het resultaat is een variatie aan vormen: schilderijen, een video-drieluik en een installatie van geluid en sculptuur.
De tentoongestelde werken onderzoeken ieder op hun eigen manier de overgang tussen twee staten van zijn; het keerpunt, de grenstoestand, het instabiele punt waar een transformatie is begonnen en de nieuwe vorm nog niet vastligt.
Tijdens de opening wordt een “work-in-progress” opgevoerd van de Finse danseres Meeri Mäkinen en de muziek wordt verzorgd door DJ AOTP.

Transgressions is an exhibition in which the artists break the borders between their respective worlds/disciplines. The result is a variation of forms: paintings, a video-triptych and an installation of sound and sculpture.
The displayed works examine each in their own way the transition between two states of being; a turning point, a threshold, the volatile point in which a transformation has started but the new form has not been established yet.
During the opening Finish dancer Meeri Mäkinen will perform a “work-in-progress” and there will be music by DJ AOTP.
